An AI receptionist for builders, for when you are on site
It’s an AI receptionist, and more: it takes quote enquiries while you’re on site, asks about the project and books a visit with you. Clients, neighbours and suppliers get an answer, and their messages reach the right person.
The calls a builder gets.
A new extension enquiry, a worried neighbour, the merchant with tomorrow’s delivery time: the assistant answers all of them while you keep working, and this is what it does with each.
An extension or loft enquiry
A couple want a kitchen extension, or a loft turned into a bedroom, and ring after seeing your board outside a job. The assistant asks what they have in mind, whether there are drawings or planning permission yet, the budget range and when they’d like to start, then books a site visit into your diary.
“Is the scaffold going up tomorrow?”
A client on a live job rings to ask when the skip, the scaffold or the plasterer is due. The assistant answers from what you’ve told it, or takes the question for the site manager, so the client hears back instead of wondering whether anyone’s turning up.
A neighbour with a blocked drive
A neighbour rings because a delivery lorry is across their drive, or the noise started earlier than they were told. The assistant takes it politely, gets the details and passes it to the site manager straight away, so it’s dealt with before it becomes a complaint.
A change of plan halfway through
A client rings midway through the build wanting the kitchen window moved, or a door where the plans show a wall. The assistant takes down the change, who asked for it and when they need an answer by, and passes it to the site manager, so it’s talked through before anyone builds it the old way.
Suppliers and subcontractors
The merchant rings with a delivery slot, or the electrician you’ve lined up wants to move a day. The assistant takes the message and sends it to whoever needs it, so it doesn’t sit in a voicemail box nobody checks until the evening.

Trades beside yours.
Most of these trades will be on one of your sites at some point. Their pages are below, starting with the one for the trades as a whole.
You’re still on site. The office already has it.
The project, written up
What they want built, what drawings or permission they have, the budget range and when they want to start.
A site visit in the diary
A visit at a time that suits the client, with a text to confirm, so nobody spends a week ringing each other back.
Messages to the right person
Neighbour, client or supplier, each message goes to the site manager or the office it was meant for.
Questions builders and contractors ask.
What is a construction answering service?
A service that picks up a building firm’s calls when nobody in the office can. Ours goes beyond messages: it asks about the project the way you would, books site visits, and passes on what clients, neighbours and suppliers need you to know.
Does it suit contractors with more than one site?
Each call is matched to its site, then passed to that site manager or to the office. An urgent one can be transferred straight to them.
Can it tell a client what an extension will cost?
No. It takes the project, the budget the client has in mind and the timescale, and books a visit. What the work costs is for you to work out on site.
Can it check whether a client has planning permission?
It asks, and writes down the answer: whether there are drawings, whether planning has gone in and whether it’s come through. It doesn’t judge whether the project needs it.
What about calls from the neighbours?
They’re taken politely and sent to the site manager there and then, with the address and what the problem is.
Does it call people who enquire through my website?
Yes, as soon as the form comes in, as long as it’s inside the calling hours you set. It asks about the project and books a visit while the client is still thinking about it.
Stay on site.
Play a couple planning an extension on a demo call, and watch the site visit go into the diary.
