An AI receptionist for plumbers, for when you are under a sink
It’s an AI receptionist, and more: it picks up while your hands are full, finds out where the water’s coming from and puts a time in your diary to ring them. When someone fills in the form on your website, it phones them within seconds, inside the calling hours you set.
The calls a plumber gets.
Most of these arrive while you’re already on a job. Here’s how the assistant deals with five of them: some can wait until tomorrow, and one can’t wait at all.
Water through the kitchen ceiling
It’s gone nine at night and water is dripping through a kitchen ceiling. The assistant asks where it seems to be coming from and whether the stopcock is off yet. It takes the address, marks the job as urgent and puts it at the top of your list, or, if you’ve said you take emergency work, transfers the caller to your mobile.
A blocked toilet or drain
The drain by the back door is overflowing, or the only toilet in the house won’t flush. The assistant asks what’s blocked, how long it’s been like that and whether you can get to it if nobody’s in, then books a callback so it fits round the jobs you’ve already got on.
A bathroom refit quote
Someone is planning a new bathroom and wants you to quote. The assistant asks which room it is, what’s going in, when they’d like the work done and roughly what they want to spend, then puts a survey in your diary. You turn up knowing whether it’s a shower swap or a full strip-out.
A tenant on a letting agent’s job
A tenant rings about a dripping tap in a flat you look after for a letting agent. The assistant writes down the flat, the days the tenant is in and who is paying, the landlord or the agent, so the office isn’t ringing three people to find out whose bill it is.
A burst pipe, ringing round
A pipe has gone in the loft, water is coming through the landing light, and the homeowner is working down a list of plumbers. The assistant asks whether they’ve found the stopcock, and whether water has reached the light fittings or sockets, then gets them through to you or into your first free slot, so the job doesn’t go to the next number on their list.

The water’s off. You know where to go first.
The job, before you ring
Where the leak is, whether the water’s off and how to get in, in a few lines you can read in the van.
Urgent jobs at the top
Leaks and floods come back marked urgent, above the tap washers and the quote requests, so you can see which call won’t wait.
A time to ring back, agreed
The customer chooses a time that’s open in your diary before they hang up and gets a text, so they aren’t waiting in all afternoon.
Questions plumbers ask.
What is AI phone answering for plumbers?
An assistant that answers your business number when you can’t and takes the job down properly: what’s wrong, where it is and how urgent it sounds. You get a written summary of the call, and a callback in your diary when one’s needed.
How is it different from a plumber answering service?
A message-taking service writes down a name and a number. This one finds out what’s leaking and where, fixes a time for you to ring back before the call ends, and phones new website enquiries within seconds, inside the calling hours you set.
Can it tell an emergency from a routine job?
It asks what’s happening and whether the water can be turned off, and marks leaks and floods as urgent. If you take emergency work, it can transfer the call to you there and then; if not, the job heads your list for the morning.
Does it work for a plumbing company with several engineers?
Yes. Every engineer’s jobs come in on the same business number. The assistant gets the job and the address, then books the callback with the right engineer or passes it to the office.
Will it pick up in the evenings and at weekends?
Yes, evenings and weekends included. A Saturday-night leak or a blocked drain on a Sunday morning gets answered, and the details are waiting in your summaries on Monday.
Can I tell it which jobs I take on?
Tell it the work you do, the areas you cover and the jobs you’d rather pass on, and it answers from that. If someone asks about work you don’t do, it says so and still takes their details.
Hear it take a leak call.
We’ll play a customer with water through the ceiling in a demo, and you can watch the summary arrive.
